Job Description

We are looking for a Manual Tester. This position will be full-time and Onsite Gurugram.

What You’ll Do

  • Understand business requirements and create detailedtest plans,test cases, and acceptance criteria.

  • Define scope and objectives for functional, regression, exploratory, and UAT testing.

  • Ensure comprehensive test coverage and maintain traceability matrices.

  • Execute manual tests for functional, integration, regression, and usability scenarios.

  • Validate APIs using tools likePostman(basic request/response validation).

  • Perform cross-browser and cross-device compatibility testing.

  • Verify bug fixes and perform retesting to ensure closure.

  • Log, track, and manage defects using JIRA or similar tools.

  • Work closely with developers to reproduce, isolate, and resolve issues.

  • Provide daily/weekly testing status reports and highlight risks.

  • Test Management &CollaborationTools: JIRA, Azure DevOps, TestRail, Confluence.

  • Defect Tracking& Reporting: JIRA, Azure DevOps Boards

  • API TestingTools (Basic to Intermediate):Postman, Swagger

  • Database Validation: MySQL, SQL Server

  • Performance Testing Awareness: JMeter (understanding and Test script creation)

  • Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and daily stand-ups.

  • Collaborate with Product Owners to refine acceptance criteria.

  • Suggest process improvements to enhance quality and efficiency.

What You’ll Need

  • Bachelor’s or master’s in computer science, IT, or related field (Mandatory).

  • ISTQB Foundation Level Certification (Preferred).

  • 4–7 years of hands-on experience inmanual testingfor web, mobile, and backend services.

  • Strong knowledge ofSTLC, SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Experience infunctional, regression, system, integration, usability, and UAT testing.

  • Basic knowledge ofAPI testingusingPostmanor similar tools.

  • Exposure to SQL for basic database validation.

  • Familiarity with defect management tools like JIRA, Azure DevOps, HP ALM.

Physical Demands

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationery most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor.
