Parker Hannifin is seeking an Assembler/Tester A for the Military Flight Controls Division. The company is a Fortune 250 global leader in motion and control technologies, and the division provides primary and secondary flight control systems for military aircraft.
The successful candidate will accurately and efficiently assemble and test moderately complex products to achieve customer quality and on-time delivery schedules. The role involves performing assembly/test functions, recording test results, identifying malfunctions, and interpreting blueprints and test specifications.
The essential functions of the job include:
- Performing moderately complex assembly/test functions utilizing mechanical skills, hand and power tools, and test equipment.
- Recording test results on data forms using electrical equipment and flow measurement devices.
- Identifying malfunctions disclosed by test data and reworking as instructed.
- Interpreting blueprints, engineering orders, and test specifications.
- Producing and inspecting assemblies that conform to product specifications.
- Actively participating in lean initiatives to increase productivity and reduce costs.
The job requirements include:
- Two or more years of industry-related experience in assembly/test in a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated product and process knowledge, with the ability to apply it to newly learned techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints, route sheets, and test specifications.
- Strong mechanical reasoning and effective interpersonal communication skills.
