Overview
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation Paralegal to join their dynamic team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting attorneys in complex IP litigation matters, including patent, trademark, and copyright disputes. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, a paralegal certification, and a strong interest in intellectual property law.
Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys in all phases of IP litigation, including case intake, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and post-trial support.
- Conduct legal and factual research to support case strategy and filings.
- Draft, proofread, and cite-check legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and discovery responses.
- Manage and organize case files, exhibits, and electronic databases.
- Assist with e-discovery, including document review, production, and maintaining privilege logs.
- Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and vendors as needed.
- Prepare deposition, hearing, and trial binders.
- Support attorneys during depositions, hearings, and trials, including managing exhibits and technology.
- Track deadlines, maintain case calendars, and ensure timely filings with courts and agencies.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Paralegal certification preferred (ABA-approved program preferred).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience
- Prior internship or experience in litigation, IP law, or law firm setting is a plus, but not required.
