Overview

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Intellectual Property (IP) Litigation Paralegal to join their dynamic team. This role provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting attorneys in complex IP litigation matters, including patent, trademark, and copyright disputes. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree, a paralegal certification, and a strong interest in intellectual property law.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in all phases of IP litigation, including case intake, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and post-trial support.
  • Conduct legal and factual research to support case strategy and filings.
  • Draft, proofread, and cite-check legal documents, including pleadings, briefs, and discovery responses.
  • Manage and organize case files, exhibits, and electronic databases.
  • Assist with e-discovery, including document review, production, and maintaining privilege logs.
  • Coordinate with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and vendors as needed.
  • Prepare deposition, hearing, and trial binders.
  • Support attorneys during depositions, hearings, and trials, including managing exhibits and technology.
  • Track deadlines, maintain case calendars, and ensure timely filings with courts and agencies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Paralegal certification preferred (ABA-approved program preferred).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior internship or experience in litigation, IP law, or law firm setting is a plus, but not required.
