Hourly Career Major Tutor – Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration / Plumbing

Location: Burlington County Institute of Technology – Westampton Campus

Position Summary

• BCIT is seeking a dedicated Hourly Career Major Tutor in the area of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration / Plumbing. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma (required), with some college coursework preferred, and relevant vocational certification or work experience in the Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration / Plumbing industry. This individual must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills and a passion for supporting student success in hands-on, career-focused education.
  
  

• High school diploma (required)
• Some college credits (preferred)
• Vocational certificate and/or relevant training or work experience in Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refigeration / Plumbing
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to support students individually and in small groups
  
  

• Collaborate with instructor to support student learning
• Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring to reinforce course content and practical skills
• Help students strengthen their understanding of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration / Plumbing related careers
  
  

• Not to exceed 29.5 hours per week
• Approx. Hourly Rate Equivalent / Annual Range: $29,766 – $36,851 (Commensurate with hours worked, education, and experience)
  
  

• Required criminal history background check
• Proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status required
• Must establish NJ residency within one year of hire
