We are seeking an experienced Financial Data Analyst to support decision-making in our client’s medical center, affiliated with a prestigious California university and one of the largest health delivery systems in California.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze complex financial and clinical data to inform hospital strategies.
• Lead and execute diverse analytical projects based on client needs, defining scope, identifying data sources, and delivering actionable insights.
• Maintain knowledge of healthcare, finance, and operational trends within the industry.
• Collaborate with executive and physician leadership to ensure data accuracy and performance improvement.
• Benchmark operations against best practices and internal goals.
• Utilize innovative problem-solving techniques in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

• Requires a related Bachelor's degree; MBA or MPH is preferred.
• Five or more years of financial analysis experience in a hospital or medical group setting.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Tableau; familiarity with Microsoft Office is necessary.
• Experience with SAS, Visual Basic, SQL, Visio, and Publisher is a plus.
• Knowledge of EMR systems, particularly EPSi and Epic, is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to translate clinical needs into financial contexts for diverse audiences.
• Understanding of healthcare coding systems and reimbursement mechanisms (HMO/PPO, Medicare, Medi-Cal).
• Capacity for adapting to industry changes quickly and effectively.
• Commitment to producing high-quality deliverables.
