Greenfield Merchandiser - Northampton, MA / Hadley, MA - $2,000 Sign-On Bonus

The Merchandiser plays a crucial role in ensuring the availability, visibility, and promotion of Coca-Cola beverages in retail stores across Coca-Cola Beverages Northeast's territory. This role offers the opportunity to represent one of the world's most recognized brands and contribute to the success of our business.

The Merchandiser is responsible for ensuring that beverage sections, displays, coolers, and all points of availability are stocked and maintained with proper Product Levels.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

1. Execute merchandising plans to ensure optimal product placement, display, and availability in retail stores. This includes stocking shelves, rotating products, building displays, and ensuring product freshness.
2. Maintain product on store racks, shelves, displays, and in coolers by identifying replenishment needs.
3. Transport product between backroom and display floor with manual equipment.
4. Implement promotional activities and marketing campaigns in accordance with company guidelines.
5. Set up promotional displays and signage to attract customer attention and drive sales.
6. Secure damaged or defective product while maintaining a clean product space.
7. Ensure accurate product counts by properly managing backrooms and organizing backstock.
8. Operate manual and powered handling equipment (e.g., pallet jack, hand-truck).
9. Maintain areas of responsibility in designated accounts by communicating status and concerns to store and company personnel.
10. Follow company and store policies regarding backroom, display floor, replenishment, equipment, and safety.
11. Develop and maintain strong relationships with store managers and staff to maximize merchandising opportunities.
12. Provide excellent customer service to address inquiries or concerns.

Job Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• 1+ years of experience in grocery, retail, consumer goods, warehousing, or related fields (preferred).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with manual or powered pallet jacks (preferred).
• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 55 pounds repeatedly, and stand/walk for long periods.
• Ability to operate manual and powered material handling equipment.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and other screenings as required.

Additional Information

Employment is contingent upon passing background checks, drug screening, and driving record evaluation. This is an entry-level, full-time position within the Food and Beverage Services industry, focusing on marketing and sales.
