Responsibilities

• Lead logistics and ensure our customer-centric values shine through in all operations.
• Provide ongoing training to drivers and merchandisers, ensuring understanding of merchandising standards and company policies through hands-on instruction during deliveries.
• Oversee paperwork from invoicing to load sheets and manage vehicle maintenance communications.
• Coordinate work schedules, approve time off requests, and manage overtime expenses.
• Assist in performance reviews, contribute to employee interviews, and recommend pay changes based on performance metrics.
• Learn all branch routes and occasionally run routes as needed to ensure seamless operations.
• Foster a cooperative and energetic working environment, maximizing employee morale and productivity while performing essential duties.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain one within 90 days of hire.
• Strong understanding of traffic laws and defensive driving; satisfactory completion of medical evaluations and medical tests.
• Strong written and organizational skills; effective communication for teamwork and training sessions.
• Basic math skills for invoicing duties and proficiency with technology for operating handheld devices.
• Forklift certification is a plus (company provides training if needed).
• High school diploma or equivalent; prior experience in commercial driving is essential; prior supervisory experience is beneficial.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen.
