Seeking the silent hero: the individual who understands that behind every glass of cabernet or craft cocktail is the attention to detail that makes an experience truly memorable. A bar back efficiently stocks, cleans, and organizes the bar while communicating and working seamlessly with the bartenders.
Responsibilities
- Eyes are always on the critical 6: ice, juice, syrups/mixers, spirits, glassware, bar top cleanliness
- Anticipate items to stock during shift - prior to running out
- Understand bar equipment and how to troubleshoot problems during shift (Low CO2 in tap lines, dishwasher cycling, changing beer keys, etc.)
- Maintain bar cleanliness from all angles - the bar top where guests are seated, the bar back where spirits, glassware, supplies are located, waste bins, and floors
- Thorough knowledge of menu and beverage offerings and supporting knowledge of brand vision and standards of quality
Qualifications
- Prior experience highly preferred
- A proactive and detailed demeanor
