The warehouse worker is responsible for maintaining records, communicating with vendors and staff about warehouse needs and activities, and conveying shipment contents into, within and out of the warehouse.

The warehouse worker is responsible for maintaining records, communicating with vendors and staff about warehouse needs and activities, and conveying shipment contents into, within and out of the warehouse.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Data entry and research and documentation of receiving issuers. Resolving inventory-tracking problems. Interacts with vendors to obtain information to resolve questions and issues.
  • Continues with RAM and helps tremendously with distribution, inventory control and stocking of the onsite inventory of memory. He has interacted on a regular basis with all the memory vendors.
  • Prepare equipment for lease returns, helps out on DTC.
  • Conveys materials and items from vans or containers to storage or to other designated areas.
  • Maintains inventory records.
  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes items to other workers or departments.
  • Marks materials with identifying information.
  • Weighs or counts items for distribution within warehouse to ensure conformance to company standards.
  • Uses computer to enter records.
  • Compiles worksheets or tickets as required.
  • Completes necessary forms as required.
  • Prepares parcels for mailing. Maintains inventory records.

Special Skills And Abilities

  • Ability to work with accuracy
  • Knowledge of WMS
  • Understanding of company policies, procedures and standards as they relate to warehouse operations

EDUCATION And/or EXPERIENCE

High school education, or equivalent (GED); or related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Forklift certification, valid driver license.

Language Skills

  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

  • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
