Warehouse Worker Job at Standard TV and Appliance in Portland

Essential Functions

• Provide friendly, professional service to customers.
• Perform warehouse duties safely, following procedures to prevent injury or product damage.
• Accurately pull warehouse product for will-calls and deliveries without damage.
• Load customer vehicles safely and complete all required paperwork.
• Safely load and unload delivery trucks without product damage
• Check in, stock, and document customer returns and vendor deliveries with 100% accuracy
• Safely operate forklifts and warehouse equipment (scissor lift, sweepers, pallet jacks).
• Lift, push, and pull heavy appliances (e.g., refrigerators, washers, dryers).

Minimum Qualifications

• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position.
• Excellent attendance.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Fluency in English (written verbal).
• Ability to pass forklift certification training.
• Ability to use basic tools.
• Ability to work positively in a team environment.
• Ability to work a 40-hour per week flexible schedule (shift changes, split days off, covering vacations, etc.) and overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• Possess a current OSHA forklift certification.
• Several years experience in a warehouse environment with forklift experience.
• High School diploma or GED equivalency.

Physical Demands

• Frequent standing on concrete warehouse flooring is required.
• Occasional to frequent sitting on forklifts to move appliances and restock.
• Workers may frequently change position between walking, standing, and sitting.
• Occasional carrying of product, boxes, hand tools and miscellaneous items up to 75lbs. is required.
• Frequent lifting up to 75 lbs required, occasional lifting up to 250 lbs.
• Frequent pushing and pulling required when utilizing dollies for loading and unloading.
• Frequent bending is required in order to perform this work.
• Continuous use of hands and arms performing daily tasks, mainly gross motor skills.
• Occasional twisting required for loading and unloading.
• Occasional climbing required getting in and out of forklifts and into the backs of trucks when assisting customers.
• Work is performed mainly in a warehouse with limited temperature controls.
