This position oversees the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including managing staff, equipment, and logistics. It is responsible for the management, oversight, and contribution to the process of assembling parts and packaging for shipping, ensuring efficient production processes, maintaining high-quality standards, and managing a team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to safety and quality.
Position Overview:
- This role involves supervising warehouse operations, managing staff, equipment, logistics, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.
Essential Job Functions:
- Supervise and lead warehouse staff, assign tasks, provide training, and evaluate performance.
- Maintain high-quality standards during assembly, inspect products, and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee shipping procedures and communicate with customers regarding shipments.
- Create work schedules, allocate tasks, and coordinate with other departments.
- Provide training for new and existing employees.
- Ensure safety protocols are followed, conduct safety inspections, and address hazards.
- Monitor inventory levels, request materials, and ensure supplies meet demands.
- Address issues like equipment malfunctions or delays.
- Maintain records of production activities, quality control, and incidents.
- Follow all standard operating procedures and guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in warehouse management, with 2-3 years in a supervisory role.
- Knowledge of manufacturing management, inventory control, shipping, and safety protocols.
- Familiarity with ERP and inventory management software.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Forklift certification (must pass test) and knowledge of OSHA regulations preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s in logistics, supply chain, or related field preferred.
- Experience in warehouse operations and leadership.
- Completion of safety and company indoctrination programs.
