Position Description

The Warehouse I position will prioritize and pick product to fill orders and staging product for loading. Responsibilities include physically moving and lifting product, organizing the warehouse stock, assisting in daily closing down of warehouse, compiling and submitting regular reports of damaged, outdated stock or supplies, over- and under-shipments, return of products to vendor, and assisting in periodic inventory counts. The role may require operating powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.) in a safe manner and maintaining an operator license, if required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload deliveries and handle products weighing up to approximately 50 pounds; tires may require rolling, destacking, and team lifting heavier than 50 pounds.
• Operate powered industrial vehicles (forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, etc.) safely and maintain any required operator license.
• Prioritize and pick material to fill orders and stage product for loading.
• Verify incoming and outgoing products for accuracy, report inventory shortages, and assist in periodic inventory counts.
• Organize warehouse stock by product line and physical location, allowing space for overflow.
• Perform periodic facilities maintenance and housekeeping tasks (e.g., cleaning, floors, bathrooms) and assist in daily closing down of warehouse.
• Compile and submit regular reports of damaged/outdated stock, over/under shipments, and returns to vendors; segregate defective product from normal inventory flow.
• Assist in administrative tasks and daily closing of the warehouse as needed.
• Adhere to company policies and participate in process improvements as appropriate.

Experience That Best Prepares You

• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred but not required
• Experience: General work experience under supervision
• Alternative qualifications as determined by the Company

• Environment: Outdoor conditions with usual moderate noise; travel up to 5%
