Overview
Andretti Indoor Karting & Games is seeking a Receptionist to join the team. This part-time role is responsible for anticipating guest needs, providing excellent guest service, and supporting various administrative tasks to help deliver a safe, fun, and high-energy environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors by greeting them in person, by email, or by telephone.
- Answer the telephone within the 2-ring guideline and follow up on missed calls.
- Check, respond to, and distribute voicemails or messages to the appropriate persons.
- Screen and direct calls for department managers and other Andretti management personnel.
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access to the reception desk.
- Perform clerical duties such as filing, faxing, photocopying, and transcribing.
- Receive and sort daily mail and deliveries.
- Create and edit documents using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Anticipate and respond to guests in a friendly and positive manner with a sense of urgency.
- Assist with guest recovery and notify management to ensure positive guest experiences.
- Maintain working knowledge of the Andretti brand, products, policies, and procedures.
- Communicate clearly and professionally while interacting enthusiastically with guests and co-workers.
- Collaborate with other departments to meet guests’ needs as a team player.
- Observe, instruct, and monitor guests for safety and guideline adherence.
- Attend all required department and company meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with company policies.
- Be aware of and knowledgeable about facility emergency procedures.
- Perform opening, running, and closing department duties as assigned.
- Prior guest service or hospitality experience is preferred.
Skills & Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- The desire and ability to be pleasant, upbeat, and sociable throughout the workday.
- Ability to work a varied schedule including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
Physical Requirements
- Walk or stand for extended periods.
- Lift up to 15 lbs on a regular basis; occasional lifting up to 50 lbs as needed.
- Must be able to bend, reach, lift, climb, and perform related motions.
- Ability to communicate quickly and clearly.
- Work environment may include bright, dim, or flashing lights and loud sounds.
- Manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment and follow safety standards at all times.
