Position Summary
An Andretti Receptionist is a part‑time role responsible for anticipating guest needs and exceeding guest service expectations while providing a fun and exciting atmosphere. All positions assist guests in various areas and uphold Andretti Indoor Karting & Games’ high standards of quality and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome visitors by greeting them in person, via email, or on the telephone.
- Answer the telephone within the 2‑ring guideline and follow up on missed calls.
- Check, respond to, and forward voicemails or messages to the appropriate persons.
- Communicate and screen calls for the department manager and other Andretti management personnel.
- Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access to the reception desk.
- Perform clerical receptionist duties such as filing, faxing, photocopying, and transcribing.
- Receive and sort daily mail and deliveries.
- Create and run documents using Microsoft Office Suite applications.
- Anticipate and respond to guests in a friendly and positive manner with a sense of urgency.
- Assist with guest recovery and notify the manager to ensure positive guest experiences.
- Maintain a working knowledge of Andretti brand, products, and policies and procedures.
- Communicate clearly and professionally while interacting enthusiastically with guests and co‑workers.
- Work as a team player to meet guests’ needs and actively contribute to other departments.
- Observe, instruct, and monitor guests for safety and guideline adherence.
- Attend all required department and company meetings and training sessions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area in compliance with Andretti Indoor Karting & Games policies and procedures.
- Be aware of and knowledgeable about facility emergency procedures.
- Perform opening, running, and closing department duties as assigned.
- Prior guest service or hospitality experience is preferred.
Skills & Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Desire and ability to be pleasant, upbeat, and sociable throughout the workday.
- Ability to work a varied schedule including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.
