Overview
Receptionist Floater (Medical/Dental/Mental Health) at St. John’s Community Health registers patients, makes and cancels appointments, provides referrals to other departments or services, assists walk-in patients with appropriate appointments or services, facilitates patient flow, and helps patients complete required documents. Must be able to travel to different clinic locations as requested by the Director of Operation or Clinic Manager. Services are provided to Medical, Dental, and Mental Health.
Base pay
$25.00/hr - $25.00/hr

Qualifications
- Education: High School or GED
- Experience: Travel to different clinic locations (Required)
- Bilingual
- Proficient Microsoft Office
- EHR - Electronic Health Record (Preferred)
- PMS - Practice Management System (Preferred)
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Travel between clinics as requested by the Director of Clinic Operation or Clinic Manager
- Meet and greet patients; announce, direct, and escort to the appropriate area
- Answer, screen, and direct calls on a multi-line phone system; take messages or forward to practitioner, voicemail, or pager
- Maintain a fast-paced environment and professional demeanor
- Organize and maintain file systems; file correspondence and records
- Order and maintain supplies; arrange for equipment maintenance; keep reception area organized
- Input patient information and demographics into the computer system
- Demonstrate professionalism in handling confidential and sensitive issues
- Adapt to changing priorities with enthusiasm and flexibility
- Communicate effectively with people at all levels and from diverse backgrounds
- Respond to a diverse population; perform some repetitive motion activities
- Pull Medical/Dental/Mental Health charts; process patient registration
- Maintain patient flow and reduce waiting time
- May schedule appointments for patients and/or specialty care
- May perform receptionist and/or routine clerical duties such as filing and answering telephones
- Collect co-payments and/or fees and donations
- Handle other duties as requested by the Clinical Manager
- Handle billing for Medical/Dental/Mental; EHR inputting prescriptions and patient charts; PMS registration, scheduling, and billing
