Location: Pacific Junction, IA

Shift: 1st Shift – Monday to Friday, some Saturdays

Hours: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (will extend to 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM as seasonal demand increases)

Pay Rate: $20/hour

We are currently hiring a skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our operations in Pacific Junction, IA. This hands-on role involves operating various types of equipment and supporting production and material handling processes. Candidates must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors and be prepared for physical labor in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate end loaders, forklifts, and skid loaders
• Load hoppers and measure mixes accurately
• Turn and shape piles of product to meet environmental standards
• Perform cleanup tasks including sweeping, shoveling, lifting, cutting and baling plastic, and removing trash from raw material piles
• Prepare organic mixes using a Bill of Materials to ensure correct proportions
• Supply shaker lines with continuous material flow
• Conduct pre-operation safety and equipment checks
• Receive, verify, and submit load tickets to inventory personnel
• Refuel equipment safely using electrical diesel pumps
• Monitor stockpile temperature, moisture, and quality
• Perform minor maintenance on loaders and dozers
• Maintain high standards of product quality and volume output

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment including end loaders, forklifts, and skid loaders
• Ability to follow safety protocols and conduct equipment checks
• Basic mechanical aptitude for minor maintenance tasks
• Comfortable working in outdoor conditions and performing physical labor
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow mixing instructions accurately
• High school diploma or equivalent
