Overview

Archer Western Construction is currently seeking an Equipment Operator for the Estrella Parkway, Pebble Creek Parkway and I-10 Interchange, in Goodyear, AZ. The Equipment Operator's primary function is to operate equipment at the site of work to construct, maintain, or repair highway, heavy civil, or building type structures. Operators may assist in other duties around the jobsite as needed. Responsibilities

• Operates an excavator to dig, excavate, and move and/or transport materials such as dirt, rocks, and other aggregates
• Knowledge of operating procedures for loading and unloading materials
• May oil, grease, service, and perform normal maintenance on equipment; conduct daily safety and maintenance checks; complete paperwork and documentation as needed
• May perform other related duties as required

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of operating experience preferred
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs; may be required to work in adverse weather conditions
• Ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures; communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors
• Strong work ethic and desire to learn
• Good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling, or sitting for long periods
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening
