Position Overview:

The Heavy Equipment Operator works alongside skilled electricians, assisting with trenching, excavating, and installing underground electrical systems. May also serve as an Electrical Helper, performing related tasks under supervision.

Preferred Skills:

• Professional appearance and conduct
• OSHA 10 Hour, CPR, and First Aid trained
• Effective communication skills

Mandatory Requirements:

• References, Background Check, Drug Screen, Valid Driver’s License

Responsibilities include:

• Operating heavy machinery such as Backhoe, Trackhoe, Excavator, Skid Steer, and Trencher
• Digging trenches and maintaining equipment
• Following safety guidelines and maintaining a clean work environment
• Assisting with electrical and conduit installation, reading drawings and manuals

Position Requirements:

• High School diploma or GED
• At least 2 years of verifiable experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator
• Preferred CDL Class A license and DOT Medical Certification

Working Conditions:

• All-weather work environment
• Must have personal tools and be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Overtime, night shifts, weekends, and travel required

Physical/Mental Functions:

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, work at heights, and operate tools and equipment safely
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and manuals
• Good vision and hearing, with or without correction
