Overview

Location: Hawesville, KY. Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM. Must be available to work OT and weekends as needed. Starting Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Work directly in the transloading operation in the full range of duties involved in moving bulk and break-bulk materials.
• Provide backup coverage to other material handling operations when required.
• Develop and exhibit safety culture, leadership, decision making, and operational skills. Knowledge of crane operations is a plus.
• Operate and maintain front-end loaders, skid steers, and forklifts.
• Transload transfer bulk or break-bulk products to/from barges and trucks using safe operating procedures.
• Complete documentation, recordkeeping, and daily inventory.
• Read, write, and communicate in English; understand basic math; follow written and verbal directions.
• Participate in safety briefings and follow safety and environmental policies.
• Perform inspections, prepare equipment for product transfer, and operate engines/pumps within defined parameters.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• A valid driver's license is preferred but not required
• Ability to bend, stoop, lift up to 50 pounds, twist, climb; good communication skills; ability to work outdoors in varying weather

Location Information

• Located on the Ohio River; Hawesville Marine Terminal serves industries including aluminum, steel, and paper. Designated as a Foreign Trade Zone with 350,000 sq. ft. of warehouse space; CSX service.

Equipment and PPE

• Operate loaders, front-end loaders, skid steers, and forklifts; use power tools as needed
• PPE: FR clothing, vest, hard hat, gloves, safety toed boots, safety glasses, radio
