Tramontia USA, Inc. is seeking to hire an experienced and reliable Swing Reach Equipment Operator at our location in Sugarland, TX 77478.
About the Role:
The Equipment Operator in the Wholesale Trade industry plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient and safe operation of heavy machinery used for loading, unloading, and transporting goods within warehouse and distribution environments. This position requires precision and attention to detail to handle equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling machinery to facilitate smooth logistics operations. The operator will be responsible for maintaining equipment in good working condition and adhering to all safety protocols to prevent accidents and damage to products. Collaboration with warehouse staff and supervisors is essential to coordinate the movement of inventory and support timely order fulfillment. Ultimately, the Equipment Operator contributes significantly to the overall productivity and safety standards of the facility, supporting the company’s commitment to excellent service delivery in Texas, TX.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification or equivalent training.
- Proven experience operating heavy equipment in a warehouse or industrial setting, including swing reach (approximately 15’ above ground to racking system).
- Ability to understand and follow safety protocols and operational procedures.
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications:
- Additional certifications related to equipment operation or safety (e.g., OSHA training).
- Experience working in the wholesale trade or logistics industry.
- Basic mechanical skills for minor equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory software.
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and supervisors.
Responsibilities:
- Operate swing reach forklift, forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move goods safely and efficiently within the warehouse.
- Load and unload delivery trucks, ensuring careful handling to prevent damage.
- Inspect equipment daily, identify maintenance needs, and report malfunctions or safety hazards promptly.
- Organize and stack products in designated storage areas to optimize space and facilitate easy retrieval.
- Follow all safety guidelines and company policies to maintain a secure working environment.
- Collaborate with warehouse team members to coordinate inventory movement and support order processing.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and report incidents or irregularities to supervisors.
- Perform daily equipment inspections at the start of each shift; keep equipment clean and notify management of any issues.
- Verify products being moved against move orders, pick tickets, or packing slips to ensure accuracy.
- Ensure items are moved correctly and efficiently.
- Dispose of empty boxes and broken pallets properly.
- Stack and move merchandise to appropriate areas efficiently.
- Operate all applicable warehouse motorized equipment (licensed required), including swing reach forklifts (~15’ height), pallet riders, order pickers, and reach trucks.
- Maintain punctual and regular attendance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform other duties as assigned based on workload and business needs.
- Legally eligible for employment in the United States and able to pass drug screens, background checks, and references.

M - F from 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with some overtime. 40 hours per week, plus some overtime.
