Express Employment Professionals is seeking diesel mechanics for a long-term opportunity with a well-established company. Pay ranges from $16/hr for entry-level candidates up to $30/hr for experienced mechanics.
Responsibilities
Repair, maintain, and/or overhaul diesel and gas equipment including engines, brakes, transmissions, springs, hydraulics, fuel systems, air systems, forklifts, container handlers, and specialized equipment.
Troubleshoot, analyze, and diagnose a variety of equipment issues, including trucks, tractors, hydraulic-operated pumps, and small engine equipment.
Respond to road-service calls quickly and professionally; service and repair disabled equipment promptly.
Safely operate specialized hand and power tools, including welding and fabrication equipment, to complete repairs.
Assist with inventory management, equipment records, and requisitioning parts, tools, and supplies as needed.
Qualifications
5+ years of diesel mechanic experience (will consider candidates with less experience depending on qualifications)
Knowledge of heavy equipment, diesel engines, hydraulics, and safety practices
Ability to lift/move objects over 100 lbs. and work on rough surfaces with sustained standing and walking
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
