Computer Hardware Data Center Technician

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and infrastructure sector, is seeking a Data Center IT Technician to join their team. As a Data Center IT Technician, you will be part of the technical support department supporting the IT infrastructure team. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Dublin, OH
6-24 Month contract
Pay Range: $23.50/hour

What's the Job?

• Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of IT equipment, following specific instructions and safety protocols.
• Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware issues, quickly identifying causes and performing break-fix repairs on faulty components.
• Decommission hardware for system refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds.
• Monitor systems for equipment failures or errors and respond to program error messages effectively.

What's Needed?

• Computer Science majors or certifications such as CompTIA A+ or Server+.
• Experience as a Data Center Technician, with hardware break-fix responsibilities.
• Previous experience with computer repair roles, such as Geek Squad or similar.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and components.
