Job Overview
HR GENERALIST – Flik Hospitality Group. The role is based in the Capitol One lounge operations team (DFW airport based, on-site parking provided). The HR Generalist will support Human Resources functions, ensuring the business and associates are served effectively. Primary focus areas include associate relations, HR training, legal compliance, policy development and revision, engagement survey follow-up, merit/bonus data management, and hiring non-exempt associates.
Note: airport lounge operations require scheduling flexibility (typically Mon–Fri 9am–5pm; must be open to off-hours if business needs demand).
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all Company HR policies are applied consistently.
- Provide coaching to associates and management on complex issues; guide disciplinary actions; assist with on-site investigations.
- Oversee hourly recruitment and onboarding in MyOpportunity.
- Maintain and coordinate associate recognition programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state laws.
- Run and review HR activity reports; support interpretation of internal customer and associate engagement surveys.
- Attend department manager meetings, conduct classroom training, and implement HR initiatives.
- Review pay increase or status change requests for internal equity and consistency; process status change forms.
- Prepare and present HR topics and training; assist in creating Personal Development Plans where appropriate.
- Act as diversity champion, leading assigned tasks and corporate diversity activities including recruiting, retention, and promotion goals.
- Participate in the Annual Performance Appraisal process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field required.
- PHR or SPHR designation strongly preferred.
- Three+ years of HR generalist experience required; management experience a plus.
- HR experience at a large, multi-unit organization required; prior centralized HR environment experience preferred.
- Intermediate (or higher) Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience addressing inquiries from customers, regulatory agencies, or business community members.
- Strong presentation skills.
