Responsibilities

• Recruitment and Talent Acquisition: Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates. Select and interview candidates from our existing pool of resumes on platforms such as LinkedIn and Indeed. Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including creating job descriptions, posting openings, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and coordinating selection processes. Proactively source and engage potential candidates to build a talent pipeline, especially for hard-to-fill broadcast positions. Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and advise on recruitment and selection processes. Upgrade and maintain recruitment site home pages (LinkedIn, Glassdoor, etc.).
• Onboarding and Employee Retention: Oversee a smooth and engaging onboarding experience for new hires, including orientation and completion of necessary paperwork. Coordinate with departments to ensure new employees have the tools and resources to succeed. Conduct exit interviews and analyze data to identify trends and improve retention and satisfaction.
• General HR Support: Provide guidance on HR matters (policies, procedures, employee relations, payroll, compensation and benefits, training and development). Assist with benefits administration and act as liaison with benefit providers. Maintain accurate HR records and ensure compliance with relevant labor laws and regulations.
• Compliance: Stay current on employment laws and regulations at federal, state, and local levels. Assist in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures in line with legal requirements. Help Newsmax stay compliant with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements.
• Data and Analytics: Leverage Ultipro (HRIS) and other HR tools to maintain accurate employee records and track key HR metrics. Analyze HR data to support data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.

Position Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field (preferred).
• 3+ years of progressive HR experience.
• Experience with Ultipro/UKG or similar HRIS preferred.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and regulations.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and leadership skills; ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience using HR technology to enhance the employee experience.
• Experience in the media industry is a plus.
• Positive, optimistic, solutions-oriented attitude; strong critical thinking and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Onsite presence required: 5 days per week.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
