Job Overview
The Regional Human Resource Specialist will perform administrative tasks and services to support effective and efficient operations of the organization’s human resource department.
Base Pay Range
$57,000.00/yr - $68,000.00/yr
Job Roles and Responsibilities
The HR Specialist - Regional will be responsible for:
- Preparing Forms, I-9, verifying I-9 documentation, and maintaining I-9 files.
- Tracking status of candidates in HR software and responding with follow-up letters at the end of the recruiting process.
- Scheduling meetings and interviews as requested by the supervisor/school principals.
- Preparing new-employee files, Service records, etc.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records, and documentation.
- Answering frequently asked questions from applicants and employees relative to standard policies, benefits, hiring processes, etc.
- Maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
- Performing periodic review of HR files and records to ensure that all required documents are collected and filed appropriately.
- Providing clerical support to the HR department.
- Assisting with payroll functions, including processing, answering employee questions, fixing processing errors, and distributing checks.
- Assisting with new hire orientation.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum of two years related work experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource onboarding system (HROS), and similar computer applications.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Light Work: may require occasional light lifting.
- Nights and weekend activities will be occasionally required.
- The position is in an office setting and may involve prolonged work at a desk in one location.
- Moderate travel is required.
