Overview

Barista/Cashier role at Parkhurst Dining. Parkhurst Dining is a family-owned company providing culinary, dining and catering services to over 80 organizations and universities. We believe food is best when made from scratch with locally sourced ingredients, prepared with heart, and served with a smile. This role supports serving quality food and beverages to guests in a friendly and helpful manner, in accordance with Parkhurst standards and procedures under sanitary conditions.

Responsibilities

• Brew Barista coffee along with flavor of the day coffee.
• Make specialty drinks to order, following all Parkhurst recipes.
• Price and stock all grab and go items.
• Adhere to all cash handling procedures.
• Stock coffee bean bins and keep them full at all times.
• Interact with guests in a friendly, professional manner.
• Merchandise area using Barista signage and other approved materials.
• Follow cleaning schedule as provided by management, using “clean as you go” techniques.
• Maintain an open line of communication with management, informing them of products and supplies needed.
• Follow the uniform dress code and maintain proper personal hygiene.
• Follow all Parkhurst Hospitality Gold Standards and Smile Plus hospitality imperatives.
• Assist fellow team members at every opportunity.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Demands

• Standing and/or walking - 50% of time.
• Occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Frequently lifting up to 10 lbs.
