Status: Fulltime

The Salvation Army in Las Vegas, Nevada is looking to fill a fulltime Janitor position at our Las Vegas Citadel location. The successful candidates will have good time management skills, the ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds, and complete assigned work efficiently. The Janitor will perform routine and detailed cleaning duties, including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing, dusting, stripping, waxing, shampooing floors/carpets, and scrubbing/painting doors and walls. Responsibilities also include maintaining inventory of janitorial supplies, restocking restroom supplies, and maintaining service records for smoke alarms and fire extinguishers.

Qualifications

• Valid Nevada State Driver’s License and clean driving record
• Ability to work independently without close supervision
• Ability to work courteously and professionally with diverse backgrounds
• Highly adaptable and thrive in new environments
• Good time management skills
• Physically fit to perform cleaning duties
• Understanding and acceptance of the Salvation Army’s mission and practices
• Successful completion of a criminal background check

Physical Requirements

Must be able to perform essential duties with or without accommodations. Regularly required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and lift up to 75 pounds occasionally. Vision abilities include close, distance, color, and depth perception. Must operate computers and access information as needed.
