Overview

JANITOR (FULL TIME) role at SSC Services For Education. We are hiring immediately for full-time JANITOR positions at SSSC - 4202 East Fowler Avenue, Tampa, FL 33620 (openings at other locations within the school district available). Online applications accepted only.

Responsibilities

• Keep buildings clean and orderly; perform heavy cleaning duties including cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
• Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
• Dust and damp mop floors; move equipment and furniture for cleaning and return to correct placement.
• Clean assigned areas with appropriate materials and equipment; sanitize surfaces and follow the eight-step cleaning procedure.
• Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for students, staff, and visitors.
• Seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks; complete all tasks assigned by supervisor.
• Perform duties in accordance with all federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Strip, scrub, buff and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
• Contribute to a professional team environment and provide good customer service to others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Previous experience is preferred; willing to train.
• Location: Tampa, FL area; schedule: Monday through Friday, full-time; hours may vary; more details provided at interview.
• Pay range: 15.00 to 16.50 per hour.
