Overview
Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) is adding a Dermatologist to the group at NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem. The Hospital is part of NYC Health + Hospitals. Harlem Hospital is a designated Level 1 Trauma Center and is affiliated with Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. NYC Health + Hospitals is the nation\'s largest municipal health care delivery system.
Location: NYC Health + Hospitals/Harlem, 506 Lenox Avenue, New York, NY 10037. Schedule: Part-time, approximately 24 hours per week. Salary: $179,700.
Responsibilities
- Offering skin consultations and evaluating patient skin conditions.
- Screening for systemic diseases as part of skin assessments.
- Prescribing medications for skin conditions and performing non-invasive skin procedures.
- Resection of skin lesions and other dermatologic procedures as appropriate.
- Referring patients to advanced specialists when needed.
- Educating patients on skin health.
- Teaching students and residents and providing consultation to other specialties as needed.
Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited medical school.
- Unrestricted active NYS medical license, or the ability to obtain one.
- Completion of all three parts of the US Medical Licensing Exam; medical degree with specialization in Dermatology.
- Completion of a three-year dermatology residency.
- Board certified or board eligible.
- Excellent written and verbal communication; good interpersonal and teaching skills.
Compensation & Benefits (highlights)
- Annual base salary: $179,700 for a 24-hour work week.
- Estimated annual compensation including additional sessional/per diem hours: $277,190+.
- Potential bonuses up to $24,000, contingent on targets.
- 401(k) company contribution: 3% immediately, plus 7% after one year of service; no employee match required.
