Job Description

Our Seven Lakes Memory Care community in Loveland, CO, is hiring a Caregiver to join our team of Senior Living Warriors. Shift: Part-Time – Day Shift – 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM – Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to resident needs promptly and kindly while maintaining each resident’s self-respect, personal dignity, safety, and confidentiality.
  • Read and follow care plans to ensure proper care is provided.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, hygiene, meals, activities, and bowel/bladder functions.
  • Provide assistance at mealtime with selecting meals, serving, eating, and clearing or delivering room trays as needed.
  • Transport residents as necessary, assisting with transfers and escorts to meals and activities, following safety techniques.
  • Perform regular safety checks on residents.
  • Encourage participation in daily activities such as bed making, laundry, cleaning, and setting tables.
  • Invite, encourage, assist, and lead residents in meaningful and life-enriching activities.
  • Assist with laundry and other community activities as required.
  • Manage oxygen tanks and concentrators per medical orders as needed.
  • Chart and document information and report any resident changes to a supervisor promptly.
  • Respond to resident alerts and emergencies, carrying communications devices as required.
  • Ensure resident safety and comfort and assist with safety drills.

Non-Essential Job Duties

  • Display a positive and professional image in line with MBK core values.
  • Encourage teamwork through open communication with colleagues and other departments.
  • Demonstrate effective time management to complete daily assignments per shift.
  • Display tact and friendliness with residents, families, and guests.
  • Adhere to MBK policies regarding meals and rest periods.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Health Services, Director of Assisted Living, Director of Memory Care, or Executive Director.

Qualifications

  • Age 18 or over, or have the proper work permit and authorization.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Nurse Aide preferred.
  • Current first aid certification.
  • Background clearances as required by government regulations.
  • Complete health screening and provide negative TB test within the last 6 months or within 7 days of employment.
  • Prior caregiving experience preferred; on-the-job training available.
  • Ability to read and speak English and follow oral and written directions.
  • Ability to interact effectively with people of different ages and backgrounds; meet and maintain state regulatory requirements.

Physical Demands

  • Must be mobile and able to perform physical tasks including kneeling, squatting, overhead reaching, and bending.
  • Must be able to lift 40+ pounds and push 150 pounds unassisted.

Pay Rate: $18.00 to $20.00 per hour
