Overview

Housekeeper: Part-time at Valley Hope Addiction Treatment & Recovery in Grapevine, TX. Valley Hope provides healing residential and outpatient drug and alcohol addiction treatment services. Responsibilities

• Maintains all assigned areas in a clean and sanitary condition.
• Performs cleaning and sanitizing tasks as outlined on shift, daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules, including washing, dusting, polishing, vacuuming and sweeping all areas of the facility.
• Cleans and sanitizes sinks, tubs, showers and toilets according to prescribed sanitary standards.
• Cleans and sanitizes offices and common areas including public and private restrooms, nursing areas and patient laundry areas as directed.
• Cleans, sanitizes and maintains all flooring (tile, carpet, polished concrete, wood and other types) per facility schedules.
• Cleans and sanitizes linens according to organizational protocol and maintains separation of dirty and clean linens within the laundry storage area.
• Distributes clean linens and paper goods according to facility schedule.
• Restocks cleaning and paper supplies according to organizational guidelines.
• Follows safety guidelines when using cleaning chemicals, appliances and other commercial housekeeping equipment.
• Removes trash and other soiled materials to appropriate containers in a timeframe that supports safety and infection control, and in accordance with regulatory guidelines.
• Inspects housekeeping equipment for safety prior to use and uses equipment according to manufacturer and facility directions; promptly notify the business manager of any concerns.
• Maintains clean laundry, housekeeping and storage rooms free from fire and other hazards.
• Observes and reports maintenance issues according to the business manager guidelines.
• Adheres to health and safety regulations pertinent to the facility, organization and regulatory bodies to promote infection control.

Qualifications

• Six (6) months of housekeeping experience preferred.

Compensation

• Starting at $16/hr.

Work Environment

• Residential and/or outpatient treatment facility setting; requires walking throughout the facility and may require moving between buildings/rooms in temperature extremes.
