We are looking for a Bartender who can provide libations, customized recommendations, and a welcoming guest experience while upholding safety and sanitation standards. This role offers opportunities for creativity and development based on prior bartending experience.
Note: This is a part-time position with benefits outlined below for eligible employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet guests in a friendly and professional manner, provide prompt service, and assist with beverage orders.
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to hotel standards.
- Check identification to verify legal drinking age.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, stock supplies, and ensure equipment is ready for use.
- Upsell and promote drink specials and signature cocktails.
- Handle cash and process payments using the hotel’s POS system.
- Monitor guest behavior and consumption to ensure responsible service.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down the bar area before and after service.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.
- Collaborate with hotel staff to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation per health and safety guidelines; comply with local alcohol regulations and company policies.
- Perform opening and closing duties, including restocking and preparing for the next shift.
Qualifications
- Previous bartending experience, ideally in hospitality or hotel settings.
- Strong knowledge of beverages, cocktails, wine, and beer.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weights.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of alcohol.
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Bartender certification or training (e.g., TIPS, ServeSafe Alcohol) is a plus.
