ED Unit Secretary - Full-time - Nights - Emergency Department - Sacred Heart Hospital, Lavonia, GA
Responsibilities
- Carries out routine patient care duties and related activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Able to assess the direct/indirect needs of the patient within the scope of practice; plan and prioritize patient safety needs; implement appropriate patient safety activities; evaluate the effectiveness of specific patient safety activities; communicate patient safety needs; address confidentiality issues.
- Respond quickly to patient safety needs; maintain a pleasant, polite, and understanding manner when dealing with patients, answering the phone, or interacting with hospital personnel and guests; maintain a professional appearance; demonstrate initiative and good decision‑making in stressful situations.
What You Will Need
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: BLS through American Heart Association is required at time of hire.
- Education: High School Diploma required. Formal specialty training preferred.
- Experience: No experience required. Medical terminology and behavioral health experience preferred.
