Role Description

Board Secretary – Global Youth Ambassador Program

The Board Secretary plays a critical role in supporting the Chair and Vice Chair in ensuring smooth operations, accurate record-keeping, and effective communication across the ambassador program. This role is designed for emerging leaders who want to develop skills in organizational management, governance exposure, and international collaboration.

Key Duties

  • Prepare agendas, record minutes, and maintain accurate documentation of meetings.
  • Track action items and ensure timely follow-up with leadership and committees.
  • Support communication between program leadership and regional ambassadors.
  • Maintain records of policies, decisions, and program initiatives.
  • Assist with scheduling, coordination, and administrative support for youth leadership activities.

Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Experience in student leadership, administrative support, or community engagement is highly valued.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in cybersecurity, child protection, governance, or international policy.
  • Ideal for students and early-career individuals interested in law, policy, cybersecurity, or nonprofit management.
  • Fluency in English required; additional language skills (especially Portuguese) are considered a strong asset.
  • Access to a reliable internet connection and computer or mobile device is required.
