The Standard has completed the acquisition of the Employer Voluntary Benefits business from Allstate. This deal enhances our competitive position in the market with a comprehensive offering of workplace benefits products and capabilities.
Job Summary
Our Voluntary Benefits Division is growing! The Employee Benefits Sales Consultant is responsible for top-line premium growth, case count, and producer recruiting for Oklahoma. This position works with national, regional, and local Employee Benefit Brokers, Consultants, General Agents, Technology Partners, and Enrollment Firms by consulting, training, educating, and motivating to ensure profitable growth and meet sales objectives within the assigned market.
- Build consulting relations with new and existing national, regional, and local Employee Benefit Broker Partners, General Agents, Technology Partners, and Enrollment Firms, focusing on voluntary group and life insurance with long-term care product suites.
- Serve as a resource and subject matter expert on enrollment technology solutions and product options for client companies.
- Provide training and ongoing development for producers, agencies, and general agents within the region.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal teams such as Sales Support, Underwriting, Policyholder Services, Billing, Compliance, and Compensation.
- Meet or exceed sales and production goals.
- Analyze markets and develop recruiting and marketing strategies to secure long-term producer relationships that generate quality business.
- Consult with producers to add value to their existing portfolios and develop new solutions for clients.
- Provide market feedback and help implement corporate strategies.
- Reside in DFW or Oklahoma City area and have an established broker network within the territory.
- Travel approximately 3 days per week within the territory is required.
Skills and Background Needed
- Preferred Bachelor’s degree; experience may substitute.
- Minimum 5+ years of voluntary or employee benefits sales experience.
- Life & Health licenses required; must be obtained if not already licensed.
- Established broker network within Oklahoma is essential.
- Ability to travel 3 days per week within the territory.
