The community served is AdventHealth Winter Park, a hospital with a history of serving Winter Park and surrounding communities for more than 50 years.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect services in the acute care, inpatient and/or outpatient rehabilitation settings.
• Utilizes process improvement in achieving the goals of the Rehabilitation Department.
• Adheres to the Florida Hospital Corporate Compliance Plan and to all applicable rules, regulations, and accrediting bodies.
• May supervise other Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, technical aides, volunteers and interns.
• Actively participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all.

Value to the Team

• Performs evaluations and re-evaluations using standard techniques; develops and adapts individualized treatment plans, including goals, activities, and frequency. Discharges when maximum benefit is achieved or per standards and payer guidelines.
• Documents accurately and timely with legible handwriting and measurable terminology in accordance with practice and policy.
• Charges accurately and timely according to CPT codes and insurance guidelines.
• Provides patient/caregiver education and documents education and understanding, including discharge recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy with five or more years of work experience in physical therapy, OR
• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy
• Licensed in the State of Florida as a Physical Therapist, OR temporary Florida permit as Physical Therapist*
• BLS Certification
