Position Summary
The Senior Cybersecurity Analyst plays a critical role in protecting Empower’s digital infrastructure by proactively monitoring for threats, leading incident response efforts, and assessing system vulnerabilities. This role strengthens operational resilience through the implementation of technical controls and ensures compliance with frameworks such as GDPR and HIPAA. By safeguarding data integrity and reducing organizational risk, the Senior Cybersecurity Analyst supports Empower’s mission to deliver innovative, affordable medication.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Continuously monitors security systems, investigates incidents, and leads response efforts, including containment and remediation.
- Conducts forensic investigations to identify root causes of breaches and provides detailed reports for future prevention.
- Performs regular risk assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans to maintain a robust security posture.
- Implements corrective measures and ensures compliance with regulations such as GDPR and HIPAA.
- Provides training and guidance on security best practices while communicating complex issues to non-technical stakeholders.
Knowledge And Skills
- Advanced experience with security tools and platforms including SIEM, firewalls, Endpoint Detection and Response, and vulnerability management solutions.
- Deep understanding of security frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls, with expertise in cloud security (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), network protocols, cryptography, and forensic investigation techniques.

Experience and Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a strong focus on security monitoring, incident response, threat analysis, and risk mitigation in enterprise environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, cybersecurity, or a related technical field preferred; or equivalent experience.
- Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, or GIAC are required.
