What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
- Partner with engineering teams to design and enforce secure configurations and network controls in GCP and AWS
- Continuously monitor cloud environments for vulnerabilities and anomalous activity
- Validate and investigate alerts from MDR/MSSP and AI detection systems, leading incident response efforts
- Own evidence collection and control validation for SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 compliance
- Manage vendor security assessments and produce regular reports on the threat landscape and cloud security posture
What is Required (Qualifications)
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with proven experience in cloud security and incident response
- Familiarity with MDR/MSSP workflows and escalation processes
- Strong expertise in GCP security (IAM, VPC Service Controls, Cloud Logging/Monitoring)
- Proficiency in threat detection, log analysis, and incident response workflows in cloud environments
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with technical teams, auditors, and legal counsel
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
- Google Cloud Security Engineer Certification, CISSP, CCSP, or equivalent
