Job Title - Cybersecurity Incident Response Manager
Location - Remote
Role Type - Contract with potential for conversion to FTE
Must Have Skills
- 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity incident response, security operations, or digital forensics
- Proven incident response expertise with real-world experience managing complex incidents under pressure
- Deep knowledge of attack vectors, threat actors, and remediation techniques (malware, phishing, ransomware, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, EDR, SOAR, and forensic tools
- Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to brief executives effectively
Responsibilities and Job Details
- Serve as the primary coordinator for all security incidents, overseeing containment, eradication, and recovery
- Lead the response to complex cybersecurity events, ensuring clear documentation and swift action
- Support early-stage incident identification and guide technical and business teams through remediation
- Act as the central communication point across IT, security, legal, compliance, and leadership
- Provide executive briefings and status updates during ongoing incident response efforts
- Drive and refine incident response playbooks and triage/escalation procedures
- Lead post-incident reviews, documenting lessons learned and driving process improvements
- Collaborate with third-party vendors, MSSPs, and partners during response activities
- Enhance organizational preparedness by evolving detection, response, and recovery workflows
- Ensure adherence to compliance frameworks like NIST, ISO, HIPAA, and PCI
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of the overall security posture and resilience program
- Opportunity to transition into a full-time leadership role following the contract period
