Job Description - Banquet House-Person

As a Houseman at our luxury hotel, you will play a critical role in ensuring the comfort and satisfaction of our guests. Your responsibilities will include maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of public areas, assisting with guest requests, and supporting the housekeeping team to ensure an impeccable guest experience.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to;

Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup and breakdown of events and meetings, including arranging furniture and equipment.
• Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, and meeting spaces.
• Assist housekeeping staff with cleaning and stocking guest rooms, as needed.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and inquiries, ensuring their needs are met efficiently and professionally.
• Transport and restock linens, towels, and supplies to designated areas.
• Perform minor maintenance tasks, such as changing light bulbs and reporting any issues to maintenance.
• Ensure all storage areas and housekeeping carts are organized and well-stocked.
• Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the housekeeping manager or supervisor.
  
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a similar role in a luxury hotel setting is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to interact with guests in a friendly and professional manner.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated with a positive attitude.
  
  

Working Conditions/Environment

• The person having this position may have to stand and/or walk, push, kneel, bend, balance, squat, reach and stretch for eight to 10 (8 to 10) hours per day .
• Agility in executing fast-paced movements to navigate different areas of the property efficiently.
• The person having this responsibility may have to move, pull, carry, or lift objects weighing at least 50 pounds.
