Sr. Account Manager - SLED | Philadelphia Metro role at Optiv. This position requires the employee to reside in the Philadelphia Metro area.

As a SLED Sr. Account Manager (or Sr. Client Manager, SCM), you'll be responsible for selling Optiv security services and security technology solutions to State, Local and Education accounts within a geographic territory. This territory includes Philadelphia, Harrisburg, and Allentown. You will own and coordinate all aspects of the sales cycle within your assigned accounts and lead a cross-functional team to build and execute a multi-year strategic account management plan. The cross-functional team typically includes a Solutions Architect, Client Operations Specialist, and services practices personnel as appropriate for your accounts.

You will develop a multi-year strategic account management plan focused on SLED accounts, identify and understand your client's core security concerns, and map those to Optiv solutions. You will collaborate with appropriate Optiv technical, services, and leadership personnel to refine and/or build a security strategy and propose solutions to address client security needs. Solutions may include security technology and services, and, where appropriate for the client, large and complex solutions consisting of security management consulting, hardware and software security technologies, advisory, implementation and support services, and managed security services. The overarching goal is to establish a trusted relationship with the client so Optiv becomes their primary security solution partner and provider.

You will engage clients with a focus on enhancing client satisfaction. This includes meeting with top clients early in the year to document their business, technology, and security goals, as well as client expectations of Optiv in support of those goals. You will review goals, expectations, and progress with top clients quarterly, engaging Optiv leadership and resources as necessary to ensure alignment with client-defined goals.

How You’ll Make An Impact

  • Build trusted, effective, and productive relationships with key leaders within assigned SLED accounts.
  • Lead creation of multi-year strategic account management plans for top accounts based on client goals and Optiv’s security expertise.
  • Build a large sales pipeline within assigned accounts and achieve/exceed gross margin targets.
  • Manage current and multi-quarter forecasts with high accuracy and integrity.
  • Execute with discipline and in alignment with Force Management principles including MEDDICC and Command of the Message.
  • Effectively communicate Optiv’s value proposition related to security services and technologies.
  • Build strong relationships with technology partners and their sales personnel to generate and share leads for qualified pipeline.
  • Coordinate communications among clients, technology partners, and Optiv team members (technical, sales, client operations, etc.) within each assigned account.
  • Maintain collaborative internal communications regarding opportunities, requirements, and client satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in product or services-based sales typically 4+ years, ideally in a technology company.
  • 5+ years’ experience selling to Federal government, SLED agencies, or public sector clients.
  • Residency in the Philadelphia Metro area (Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Allentown).
  • Proven ability to build and execute territory and account prospecting plans with track record of exceeding quotas.
  • Experience engaging cross-functional resources (sales, pre-sales technical support, and other support personnel).
  • Demonstrated ability to build productive relationships with executives and sponsors within assigned accounts.
