Position Overview
dormakaba is seeking a dynamic Plant Manager to lead operations at our flagship manufacturing facility in Indianapolis, IN. This pivotal role, reporting directly to the Senior Vice President Americas Hub, offers a unique opportunity to champion operational excellence and innovation across a vertically integrated, high-mix/low-volume production environment. This role oversees end-to-end operations including production, quality, supply chain, maintenance, engineering, and continuous improvement for the Indianapolis Plant. The Plant Manager will lead the site towards world-class operational performance, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives in safety, quality, cost, delivery, and innovation. They will be a visionary leader ready to make a lasting impact and elevate our manufacturing capabilities.
Salary Range
Base Salary: $170,000 - $190,000 (to be determined based on education, experience, skills, and market data). Please visit our career site for more information on benefits.
What You Will Do
- Develop and implement the operational strategy aligned with corporate vision and growth targets
- Drive operational scalability, agility, and efficiency to support customer demands in a high product mix and low-volume setting
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to ensure operational capabilities meet market needs and business goals
- Partner with global and regional teams to execute aligned strategies and standards
- Ensure consistent implementation of policies, programs, and KPIs across functions
- Champion a culture of safety, ensuring operations meet or exceed standards and promote a safe working environment
What We Require
- 15+ years of progressive leadership in manufacturing, with at least 5 years at a senior/executive level
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Industrial Management, Operations, or related field
- Deep knowledge of lean, Six Sigma, TPM, and manufacturing methodologies
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, ERP systems, automation, and production planning
- Proven leadership in building high-performing teams and fostering communication and succession planning
