Overview

Mexican cuisine Fast Casual Dining restaurant seeking a Cook. Cooks are expected to prepare food according to approved recipes and proper portioning, while adhering to strict safety, sanitation, quality, and cleanliness guidelines. They conduct regular checks to ensure food quality and accuracy to specifications. Cooks may restock the front service line during peak periods and/or according to time and temperature specifications. They may showcase the preparation of certain menu items in the front of the house and sample freshly prepared items during peak business hours. The role requires the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and to stand and/or walk for an entire shift; repetitive motion may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food according to approved recipes and proper portioning.
• Adhere to safety, sanitation, quality, and cleanliness guidelines.
• Conduct regular visual and taste checks to ensure high-quality food.
• Restock the front service line with prepared products during peak periods and in accordance with time and temperature specifications.
• Showcase the preparation of certain menu items in the front of the house and sample freshly prepared items during peak hours as appropriate.
• Maintain overall restaurant cleanliness; regularly clean the kitchen area, grill, restrooms, and equipment.
• Assist with other duties as needed to support restaurant operations.
• Physical requirements: lift up to 50 pounds; stand/walk for the entire shift; repetitive motion may be required.
