Description

The Hotel Cleveland is seeking a service-minded Restaurant Supervisor to join our team. The main function of the Restaurant Supervisor is to promote and ensure guest satisfaction through developing and maintaining a strong team environment, emphasizing associate satisfaction and the delivery of prompt, courteous, & correct service.

Essential Job Functions

  • Support the Quality Improvement Process.
  • Assist in implementing marketing plans for outlets.
  • Oversee daily operations of assigned outlets.
  • Work toward positive financial results.
  • Ensure accurate and timely scheduling.
  • Maintain a motivated and trained staff.
  • Open and close shifts following manager checklists.
  • Engage with guests actively to solicit feedback.
  • Train staff on service standards and procedures.
  • Execute revenue and check control procedures.
  • Handle associate relations and scheduling issues.
  • Maintain a safe, sanitary work environment.
  • Manage tools and resources for shift operations.
  • Resolve daily problems such as call outs or last-minute bookings.
  • Ensure guest satisfaction during meal periods.
  • Conduct taste panels and menu classes.
  • Monitor staffing and hours based on forecast and budget.
  • Ensure side work is completed daily.
  • Maintain proper uniform standards.
  • Oversee repair and maintenance programs.
  • Assist staff to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Teach empowerment principles.
  • Ensure fair station rotation.
  • Be adaptable to shift changes as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum two years of food service or hospitality experience.
  • Supervisor experience preferred.
  • Minimum age 18+.
  • Food Handler’s Certificate.
  • TABC Certificate.
  • OSHA Hazard Communication training preferred.
