Production Assistant for Screen Printing and Embroidery Job at Aksarben Roofing

Production Specialist - Part time

This exciting position will include helping to produce our customers' amazing graphic ideas while operating an electric screen printing machine and a commercial embroidery machine to produce customer requested graphic designs in a consistent manner. This includes all aspects of preparation, operation, cleaning, and maintenance of the equipment. You will need to load and unload the apparel from each machine and use a screen print dryer as necessary to provide a top-quality product.

Responsibilities

• Reads work order to determine proper logo and location of screen print or embroidery.
• Determines appropriate ink and colors required for each print for screen printing and the appropriate thread selections for embroidery.
• Produces all necessary screens for screen printing.
• Verifies quality of garments, prints on garments, or sections of embroidery to those garments to ensure consistency and complete customer satisfaction.
• Operates a screen print dryer at the appropriate temperature to cure products as necessary.
• Maintains clear communication with customers, supervisors, and other team members.

Qualifications

• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds unassisted on a frequent basis throughout the day.
• Expected to lift and reach.
• Able to stand while working for long periods of time.
• Able to understand and follow written or verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
• Able to multitask.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work a flexible schedule which may at times include overtime when customer deadlines demand.
• Able to see and identify colors.
• Simple math and counting skills.
• Able to adhere to safety guidelines.
• Positive attitude and a team player.
• Experience with electric screen printing machines or 15 needle embroidery machines is a plus but not required. On-the-job training will be provided for the right candidate.

Typical Schedule

• 4-5 hour shift.
• Expected 20-25 hour week.
• Day Shift.
• Monday to Friday.
• Overtime based upon customer demand.
