Duties and Responsibilities

DigiFlight, Inc. is seeking a Production Engineer supporting the Apache Attack Helicopter Project Management Office (AAH-PMO) based in the Huntsville, AL area. The candidate must be able to work independently, often acting without direct supervision, be self-motivated, and build strong relationships across multiple OEMs and project office personnel at all levels of government.

The Apache Sensors Production Engineer is the principal advisor regarding manufacturing and overseeing production in the Sensors Portfolio. Responsibilities include:

• Providing production engineering support for aviation components and systems, conducting producibility and manufacturing readiness assessments, troubleshooting, and resolving production issues.
• Serving as a technical lead for OEM manufacturing, ensuring quality and timely delivery, and interfacing with contractors and government agencies.
• Developing contract requirements packages, including statements of work and CDRLs.
• Conducting production reviews, technical evaluations, and manufacturing assessments.
• Leading manufacturing planning, tooling, operations, quality adherence, and configuration control.
• Supporting manufacturing execution and fixing issues as they arise.
• Leading special projects and preparing reports and briefings for management and customers.
• Assessing program risks related to production, supply chain, and industrial base.
• Leading Production Readiness Reviews and maintaining planning tools for milestones.
• Providing technical recommendations and keeping management informed of progress and issues.
• Travel availability of 25-50% is required.

Minimum Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline with at least 10 years of relevant aviation production experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills for coordination across teams and contractors.

Required Skills

• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
