Production Supervisor Job at Teasdale Latin Foods in Hoopeston

Overview

The Production Supervisor oversees the manufacturing processes within the production facility. Reporting directly to the Production or Shift Manager, this position leads a team of production workers to ensure the efficient and safe production of high-quality food products in accordance with production schedules and quality standards.

Location: HOOPESTON, IL

Responsibilities

• Establish daily, weekly, and monthly objectives and communicate them to employees
• Manage the workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedules
• Guide and coach employees, monitoring their productivity
• Verify production output according to specifications
• Prepare reports on performance and progress, and present them to senior managers
• Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements
• Onboard new employees on safe machinery use and procedures
• Ensure strict adherence to safety guidelines and company standards
• Verify employee payroll time and attendance daily
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• 2+ years' experience in a Production Supervisor or similar role
• Experience operating various manufacturing machinery and tools
• Proficiency with MS Office
• Maintain scheduled line efficiencies
• Strong organizational and leadership skills with a results-driven approach
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Self-motivated and effective problem solver
• High School Diploma

Nice to Have

• Previous production experience in a cannery or labeling/packaging environment
