AGC Heat Transfer, Inc. is seeking a dynamic manufacturing supply chain professional who understands the importance of building client relationships while supporting its people.

AGC Heat Transfer, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Alfa Laval, AB, is the leading OEM of sanitary plate heat exchangers in North America, manufacturing plate heat exchangers for sanitary applications. AGC offers complete heat exchangers, services and upgrades to plate packs, gaskets and spares, as well as Field Leak Testing and inspections meeting the 3-A sanitary standard.

AGC Heat Transfer consists of three manufacturing/service facilities (Bristow, VA; Fairview, OR; Pleasant Prairie, WI) with about 110 employees (70 OR / 20 VA / 20 other). Most sales are in the US & Canada, with a strong engineering culture and a focus on customer service and technical/consultative sales.

Job Description

The Production Planner works closely with the Logistics Supervisor, Procurement Specialist, Engineering, and Production Teams to develop and maintain production schedules that support AGC operations. This role ensures material availability, production flow, and on-time delivery of customer orders. The Planner balances inventory levels, coordinates cross-functional communication, and optimizes scheduling efficiency. This position requires full-time in-office presence at our Fairview, OR location.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules based on demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and material availability utilizing Macola ERP software to generate and track work orders, ensuring data accuracy for inventory control and planning.
• Identify material shortages, generate corresponding work orders, and distribute them to appropriate departments to ensure timely production flow.
• Monitor work order progress, compliance with schedule/demand needs, and proactively address delays, bottlenecks, and production issues.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Logistics, and Manufacturing teams to align production schedules with material availability and lead times.
• Attend daily production meetings, providing updates on schedule adherence, shortages, and priorities.
• Analyze MRP (Material Requirements Planning) data to determine production needs and recommend adjustments to optimize efficiency.
• Work with Sales to review order due dates, adjust lead times, and communicate potential delays.
• Coordinate with Engineering and Quality teams to address technical issues and production constraints.
• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization and waste reduction.
• Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies and proactively resolve shortages.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications

• Associate degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 3+ years experience in production planning, scheduling, or inventory management within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret forecasting, lead times, and capacity planning data.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Must read, write and speak English.

Job Type

Wage

• $27.50 to $30.00 per hour
