Job Summary: Manages the strategic activities and vision of a high functioning area in terms of performance and productivity. Develops and implements improvements in production methods. Qualifications
- Proven work experience as a plant manager, or equivalent
- Proven managerial experience
- Adequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources)
- Familiarity with industry standard equipment and technical expertise
- Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes
- Computer literacy
- Ability to create accountability and to lead by example
- Strong team building, decision-making and people management skills
- BS degree in Production Management, Operations, or related field OR 6 to 8 years experience in manufacturing, production, supply chain, or related area.
- Prior work experience with Lean Manufacturing processes
Physical Demands
- Lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand comfortably for prolonged periods of time, as much as 95% of the work day.
- Climbing
- Stooping
- Ability for occasional travel as the job may require visiting customers and project sites.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job the employee will work in a manufacturing facility and regularly be exposed to:
- Humidity, loud noises, dirt
- Varying temperatures
- Sheet Metal
- Forklift traffic
