Job Description

Job Title: Manufacturing Helper

Department: Production

Report Line: Production Supervisor

Location: 12262 FM 3083 Rd., Conroe, TX 77301

Overview:

National Wire, a family-owned welded wire manufacturing business since 1995, proudly stands as one of the largest in the southern United States. We are dedicated to surpassing customer expectations in both quality and service. Currently, we're seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Helper to join our team. Responsibilities include assisting with production line operations, loading and unloading materials, tying down finished products, and maintaining a clean work environment. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1 year of experience as a general helper/laborer and be adaptable to a changing work environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with the production line in the facility.
• Load and unload material from machines, carts, and dollies manually or by use of equipment, such as forklift or overhead crane.
• Tie and/or strap down finished product for shipping and receiving.
• Remove scrap material from the work area.
• Communicate with supervisor, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly; perform basic preventive maintenance functions on equipment.
• Within the scope of the job requirements, adhere and comply with state and federal law, Company Quality Program and procedures, Company policies, Safety and Environmental Regulations.
• May perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
  
  

Requirements and Skills:

• Must be able to learn how to use forklift and overhead crane.
• Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job.
• Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with frequent change, delays, or unexpected events.
  
  

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a production, manufacturing, or industrial facility preferred.
  
  

Salary: Based on experience
